David Johnson Moves To Fullback

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- David Johnson had always served a hybrid role for the Pittsburgh Steelers, splitting time between tight end and fullback.

Wednesday we found out that Johnson will no longer serve that dual role, as running back Isaac Redman told the media that Johnson has moved specifically to fullback.

Johnson only spends time in meetings with running backs now.

The adjustments to be made throughout the depth chart because of Johnson's move are not yet known.

It's just another one of the changes the Steelers are making under new offensive coordinator Todd Haley.

"For me, being in the league a couple of years now, I am picking it up faster than the younger guys," Redman said. "It's not too difficult for us. Everybody is out here working together, helping each other out, discussing things so that when the season comes around we should be clicking on all cylinders."
