PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Pitt center Ryan Turnley was named to the spring watch list for the Rimington Trophy Tuesday.

The Rimington Trophy is presented to the top center in college football every year. Turnley is one of 50 players placed on the spring watch list.

Turnley was one of the only constants along the Pitt offensive line last season, starting all 13 games. He should anchor a more productive unit in 2012.

Turnley received the Ed Conway award as Pitt’s most improved player in spring drills.
