Penn State President Talks Sandusky, University Future

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - A lot has happened to Penn State since the Jerry Sandusky scandal broke, but current University President Dr. Rodney Erickson believes he and the university are doing everything they can to move the school forward.

Now, as the Sandusky trial is about to begin, what will the added scrutiny do to Penn State just as the community is healing?

KDKA-AM's Larry and John talk to Dr. Erickson about the Sandusky controversy, what has happened at campus since the news broke, and how the university will move forward.

Dr. Erickson talks about Penn State's efforts to become a leader in the prevention of child abuse, how they will handle the Sandusky trial, and how the university is moving forward despite all the distractions. He said Penn State has set a record for student applications and new research grant dollars for this year.
