2 Fineview Security Guards Escape Injury In Shooting

FINEVIEW (KDKA) – Two security guards escaped injury after a bullet shattered a window of their patrol car in Fineview Friday morning.

According to police, the incident happened near the intersection of Henderson and Federal Streets around 2 a.m.

This afternoon, police are continuing to investigate the shooting on that nearly injured those two security officers.

According to police, two security guards with Victory Security were doing their normal patrols around the Allegheny Dwellings housing community, when several shots were fired.

One of the bullets lodged into the driver's side door and stopped just short of hitting the officer behind the wheel.

It's unclear if the gunman was intentionally aiming at the officers or not.

The guards were able to drive to a safe place, where they called 911. Neither of them were injured in the incident.

Among the evidence recovered, police also found a bicycle. They're investigating whether that was left behind by the gunman or not.
