Man Convicted Of Murder, Dismemberment Sentenced To Life

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A man convicted of killing and dismembering another man will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Vito Pelino of Penn Hills was sentenced today. Police say he stabbed William King to death, cut up his body and dumped the parts along a road in Plum in February of 2011.

"It's the way he died," Wendell Holmes, King's uncle, said. "The horrific crime, that was just horrendous. That was just not human."

King's family says he was a good boy and never got into any trouble.

"They couldn't give him enough time, you know. Pennsylvania don't have a death penalty, but he should have been on it," Holmes said.

Police say Pelino was angry after King tried to have sex with his sister.

King's family says it's still mourning. They say that through the hurt and pain, they still pray for Pelino and his family.

"We must go on with our life," Latricia Robinson, King's aunt, said. "We don't have to accept what he did, but he did it."
