PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — MMA fighter Rich Hale joined Chris Mueller on Sports Radio 93-7 The FAN to talk about an upcoming bout he has in the area.

Hale talked with Chris about how he got into the sport of combat fighting and mixed martial arts, saying he got into football and amateur body building before he decided to make the switch to fighting. He said one day into the training he was hooked to the sport.
“I actually went out to watch one of the matches with a buddy of mine that I grew up wrestling with and everything else,” Hale said. “I was like, ‘oh, man, this might be a good thing for cardio for body building.’ I went in for one day and I was sold.”READ MORE: Some Health Experts Believe School Districts Should Mandate Mask-Wearing
Hale said he wrestled at a young age and feels comfortable with his all-around game. He said his opponent likes getting the fight to the ground, and Hale said that’s just fine with him.
