Dog Treated After Being Shot In Perry South Neighborhood

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A dog is being treated at a local animal hospital after he was shot Saturday afternoon.

The incident happened in the 300-block of Marshall Avenue in Pittsburgh's Perry South section.

The dog was wounded in the torso.

"It looks to be like he was right about in the front of my yard. You can see there's blood. There's blood all down the sidewalk and to my neighbors," said Sydnee Napper, the dog's owner. "He went to my neighbor's down the street to actually try to get into his house to try to get away from being hurt anymore."

Pittsburgh police rushed the dog to the animal hospital. He received a blood transfusion.

Police are still looking for the gunman.

The owner hopes that person will turn themselves in.
