Code Orange Air Quality Action Day Forecast For Tuesday

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Tomorrow's predicted heat could cause problems for certain groups of people and as a result, state environmental officials have called for an air quality action day for the Pittsburgh area.

The counties included are Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler Fayette Washington and Westmoreland counties.

Tuesday will be a code Orange air quality action day which means there will be unhealthy pollution levels for sensitive people, including young children, the elderly and people who suffer from respiratory problems.

The state Department of Environmental Protection is asking the public to do their part to reduce pollution, such as carpooling or riding the bus or waiting until dusk to get gas for your vehicle.
