Zach Parise, Ryan Suter Delay Free Agency Decisions

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- The two top targets for the Pittsburgh Penguins in free agency -- winger Zach Parise and defenseman Ryan Suter -- remain undecided on where they'll play next.

The Penguins are interested in signing both players to multi-year deals and are in competition with many other franchises around the National Hockey League in trying to sway both players.

Parise and his agent, Wade Arnott, addressed the media Monday in Mississauga, Ontario.

"We have thoroughly deliberated every option with Zach," Arnott said, as quoted by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "He wishes to take some time to step back and review all this with his fiancée and family. We could be drawing closer to a decision."

Parise said a big factor in his decision is how signing a long-term contract affects his family.

"It's such a long-term, important decision," Parise said. "You have to make sure you look at everything."

Several outlets are reporting that Minnesota, Chicago and New Jersey are the other teams in the mix with Parise.

As for Suter, he announced Monday afternoon that he'd make a decision Tuesday at the earliest.
