Toddler Dies After Hotel Bathtub Incident In Green Tree

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A toddler has died several days after his mother allegedly tried to drown him in a hotel bathtub.

The Allegheny County Coroner tells KDKA-TV that he died at Children's Hospital at about 1:15 p.m. Friday.

Allegheny County Police say they found the 2-year-old boy unconscious and without a pulse at the Best Western in Green Tree earlier this week.

His mother, Sharon Flanagan, 33, was charged with attempted homicide and taken to the Allegheny County Jail.

The family is from West Virginia and the child's father was home at the time of the incident. The father traveled to Pittsburgh to be with his son in the hospital.
