PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for much of the viewing area.

According to the National Weather Service, the watch has been issued for parts of Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia until midnight.

The watch is in effect for the following counties in Pennsylvania:

Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Forest, Clarion, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, Washington and Westmoreland

The watch is in effect for the following counties in Ohio:

Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Jefferson and Tuscarawas
