Cattle Electrocuted In Lawrence County

PULASKI TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Ten cows are dead after they were electrocuted in Lawrence County.

It happened just before 6:30 p.m. Monday in the 2400 block of Garner Road in Pulaski Township.

Joyce and Laird Whiting say they lost eight adult cows and two calves when they came in contact with a live power line.

They were beefmaster cattle.

The owners say there were 40 cows in that pasture.

The power went out for more than 1,600 Penn Power customers in Lawrence County.
