PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Baseball America’s Jim Callis joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN in Pittsburgh to talk about the Major League Baseball trade deadline which is less than 24 hours away.

Callis said right now there are more rumors than trades being made, and he expects that to carry over into Tuesday until we see the real moves start to be made as the deadline approaches.

Jim cautions that the Pirates will have problems making trades right now because they need to not mortgage the future when trying to get better now, and without trading top prospects, they don’t have a whole lot that can fetch them what they want.

We also got Callis to tell us which of the rumored Pirates trades he would make, and which ones he’d have a problem pulling the trigger on.
