Hall of Famer Chris Doleman Discusses Enshrinement Ceremony
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- Recently inducted Pro Football Hall of Famer Chris Doleman joined The Fan Morning Show Friday to talk about his enshrinement and to promote the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund, a charity that provides medical and financial assistance to retired players in dire need.
Doleman said he thought the Hall of Fame did a great job of capturing him in his bust.
"They want to bring out your personality in the bust... I thought they did a great job," he said.
He explained that most players the fund helps are not irresponsible with the money.
"There are so many guys that built the National Football League that are out there that... fell on hard times financially," he says. "It's not about guys wasting money or guys living lifestyles beyond their means. Most of the time, we're dealing with medical issues."
