1 Injured In Homestead Shooting
HOMESTEAD (KDKA) -- Police are investigating another shooting in Homestead.
It happened late Friday night in the 1700-block of West Street.
According to initial reports, the victim was shot through a glass door on the side of a house. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports the shots rang out around 10:25 p.m.
Emergency officials said the victim suffered wounds to the chest and leg. He was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital for treatment.
According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the victim was last listed in critical condition and is in his late teens or early 20s. His identity has not been released.
The Post-Gazette also reports that the victim may be related to a 19-year-old who was shot and killed last week in a home on East 10th Avenue in Homestead.
Earlier Friday, another person was wounded in a shooting along Plum Alley. Police made one arrest after a police pursuit and crash into Hazelwood.
The investigation continues into the shootings.
