Man Found Dead In Greene County Cabin
WAYNE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- There are more questions than answers after the discovery of a body in a cabin in Greene County.
State police and the Greene County Coroner were called to the village of Spraggs in Wayne Township, about nine miles from Waynesburg.
The crime happened at a cabin off Strawn Hill Road. State police confirmed it was a homicide investigation.
"How and why this individual died is currently under investigation and we have a lot of troopers out there doing a lot of investigation," State Police Lt. Christopher Neal said.
"The public has nothing to fear. We don't believe that there's anyone out there running around with a gun."
Sources told KDKA-TV that two people were shot – a man and a woman. The man was fatally wounded.
The woman was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. There is no word on her condition.
Police have identified the deceased, described as a black male, but have not released his name. An autopsy is being scheduled.
