CASTLE SHANNON (KDKA) — Castle Shannon Police continue their investigation in the recent series of overnight burglaries in the area.

The latest incident occured on Nilden Drive, near the border of Baldwin Township. According to investigators, the suspects were scared off by dogs in the house after climbing an outdoor table to gain access to an unlocked kitchen window.

In hopes to avoid detection, it is suspected that these incidents are occuring in the early morning hours when most residents would be asleep.

Castle Shannon Police are cautioning residents to continue their vigilance, lock doors and windows before retiring for the night, and to call 9-1-1 to report suspicious noises, people, activity, or vehicles.
