Strong Front To Bring Unsettled Weather, Cooler Temperatures

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The weather has been hot and humid over the past few days, but those conditions are set to change as the weekend gets underway.

This evening's weather is mostly cloudy and muggy with temperatures in the low 80s.

But, according to KDKA's chief meteorologist Jeff Verszyla, it will be unsettled tonight through Saturday afternoon with showers and thunderstorms.

Verszyla says temperatures will get cooler with a strong front that will also bring morning rain and gusty winds.

According to Verszyla, the wettest period of the day will fall between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. with sustained winds between 12 to 20 miles per hour with gusts up to 30.

The high temperatures on Saturday, Sunday and Monday will be in upper-60s to 70s.
