V.P. Biden To Deliver Remarks At 9/11 Observance

SHANKSVILLE (KDKA) --- Vice President, Joe Biden is scheduled to deliver the keynote address on Tuesday, September 11  at the annual 9/11 observance at Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

The memorial honors the 40 passengers and crew of United Flight 93 who lost their lives in disrupting the attack on the nation's capital on September 11, 2001.

Visitors are welcome to attend the observance, which is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Memorial Plaza.

In addition to Vice President Biden, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and Patrick White, President of the Families of Flight 93, are set to speak as well.

At 10:03 a.m., the exact time the plane crashed, names of the passengers and crew members will be announced followed by ringing of the Bells of Remembrance by members of the Families of Flight 93 and community members who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11.

Visitors are advised to arrive two hours early. The site opens at 7:00 a.m.
