Lawrence Co. Man Sought In Sexual Assault Of Teenager

SHENANGO TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Police are looking for a man who allegedly lured a teenager to his home and sexually assaulted her.

The victim thought she was going to the house to babysit, but she was met with a very different scenario.

The sexual assault allegedly happened inside a yellow trailer on South Jefferson Street in Shenango Township.

Police say the suspect, 52-year-old Todd Vocature knew the 15-year-old victim.

"It was determined that Vocature had summoned the female to his residence under the guise of babysitting," Shenango Township Police Officer Dan Tressler said.

Police say Vocature sent the teen a text message on August 31st.

"The victim walked back to Vocature's bedroom where he proceed to pull her down and duct tape her arms and legs and began to sexually assault her," Officer Tressler said.

"After the assault, Vocature allowed the victim to leave, but warned her not to talk to anyone about the assault ever," he continued.

Vocature, an Ohio native, is a sex offender, but according to police, he was not registered as such when he lived on South Jefferson Street.

Apparently not even the woman police say he lived with was aware of his background although she denies they lived together.

"I'm just a lady that felt bad for him," she told KDKA-TV.

Police believe Vocature may be in Ohio. There is a warrant out for his arrest.
