PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — Pitt athletic director Steve Pederson checks in with Vinnie & Cook on Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan.

Pederson explains what Notre Dame’s arrival in the ACC means for the conference, and lists the benefits Pitt will reap as a result.

Pederson is glad to continue Pitt’s rivalry with the Fighting Irish, and he points out that if Notre Dame decides to forgo its independence in football within the next 15 years, they would automatically enter the ACC.

He also explains whether this opens the door for Penn State and West Virginia to become more permanent parts of Pitt football’s schedule.

Pederson also reports that Paul Chryst and the football team are upbeat despite their 0-2 start.
