Elderly Woman Dies After Being Hit By Van
WASHINGTON, Pa. (KDKA) – An elderly woman who was hit by a public transit van in Washington County on Friday has died.
Rose Anderson had been a passenger on the van and was injured while unloading groceries from it near her home around noon.
The van backed over her and a state police inspection is being conducted to determine if it was a mechanical failure or a driver error.
According to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office, Rose Anderson was transported to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital where she was pronounced dead around 1 a.m. Saturday.
