According to the Jefferson Hills Police Department, it all started just before 10:30 p.m. Friday when officers were called to the 1200-block of Walton Road over reports of a man threatening to take his own life.

Police say the man ran into the woods behind his home and was followed by two of his friends.

Officers reported hearing gunshots as they searched the area for the three men.

After several hours of negotiations, police say all three men – identified as 23-year-old Justin Decroix, 22-year-old Adam Mains and 22-year-old Mickel Golya – surrendered and were taken into custody.

It ended around 2:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators say Decroix is being charged with recklessly endangering another person. He was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation following the incident.
