Police Investigating Bomb Threat At Pitt
OAKLAND (KDKA) – Pitt Police are investigating after two handwritten bomb threats were found in a campus building Monday morning.
According to emergency dispatchers, the notes were found in David Lawrence Hall around 9:25 a.m.
An evacuation of the building was not ordered.
Earlier this year, 64-year-old Adam Stuart Busby of Dublin, Ireland, was charged with wire fraud, malicious conveyance of false information and international extortion in relation to the e-mail of threats that resulted in more than 100 evacuations at Pitt this spring.
Busby allegedly used computer servers in Austria and the Netherlands to make the threats against the University of Pittsburgh. He also threatened to bomb four federal courthouses in Pennsylvania.
