Hunting Accident Ends In Fatal Fall
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A man was found dead, deep in the rural woods of Armstrong County, after what authorities are calling a hunting accident.
The 50-year-old Allegheny County man left Wednesday to hunt on a private property and after he didn't return, a friend called 911.
Authorities were called to the scene around 7:45 a.m.
It took them an hour to find the man's body deep in a ravine area, with fatal wounds from a fall from a tree stand.
Although "no hunting" signs were posted on the property, the owner said the man was authorized to hunt there.
