Penguins LW Matt Cooke Talks Lockout

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) -- With the NHL currently locked out, Penguins left winger Matt Cooke joined The Fan Morning Show today to chat about the league's labor dispute.

He said that, while you always want to have the chance to play, he's made the best of his extra time, working more with the Pittsburgh Kids Foundation and spending time at home.

"I've been spending a lot of time with my family, which has been a blessing for sure."

He isn't letting himself get caught up in the war of words between the league and the players.

"I don't really put a lot into what's being said."

He also talked about his recent trip to PNC Park to take batting practice with some of his teammates and addressed whether there is any lingering frustration from the Pens' opening round loss to the Flyers.
