Megan's Law Offender Charged With Stalking Ellwood City Teenager

ELLWOOD CITY (KDKA) -- A Megan's Law offender is accused of stalking a 15-year-old girl in Ellwood City.

James Woolheater, 54, allegedly approached the girl while in his car twice on Fourth Street and made inappropriate sexual comments about her body parts.

The victim told KDKA-TV he also tried to lure her into his vehicle.

She says the first time she ran home. The second time she was with a friend and got his license plate number.

Once the girl's mother contacted police, they learned Woolheater was a Megan's Law offender who had not registered or reported his address.

Ellwood City police have charged him with stalking, failure to register and failure to report an address within 48 hours.

He is now at the Lawrence County Jail on $30,000.
