Woodson Suggests 'Back-To-Basics' Approach For Taylor

PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- Former Steeler Rod Woodson joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sports Radio 93-7 The FAN to talk some Steelers, and their defensive deficiencies.

Woodson said the Steelers defense isn't up to the standards that its fans have grown accustomed to, and a lot of that has to do with the lack of turnovers they have been creating.  This is a growing issue according to Woodson given that they didn't create many last year either.

All of that being said, Woodson thinks it's still a solid defense, but also one that needs to learn how to operate at a high level without Troy Polamalu in there.

We also get Rod's thoughts on Ike Taylor's play this year, and whether or not a lack of confidence could be affecting his play.

Woodson said on Taylor, "I know when things go bad...you're confidence can be kind of shaky.  I think Ike needs to get back to the fundamentals."

We wrapped things up with Rod getting his thoughts on whether or not the Steelers will make the playoffs this year.
