Teen Hospitalized After Shooting In Marshall-Shadeland

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police are investigating after a teenager was wounded when gunfire rang out in Pittsburgh's Marshall-Shadeland section Wednesday night.

According to police, the 14-year-old boy was shot in the 2900-block of Frederick Street after several shots were fired into a house around 7:15 p.m.

Authorities say five people were inside the residence at the time and two casings were found at the scene.

Thirty minutes before, officials said three shell casings were found in the 3100-block of the same street. No one was hurt in that incident.

Police haven't said if they believe the two shootings are connected, but did say there appears to be a feud.

The injured teen was in his bedroom when he was struck a single time in the stomach, authorities said.

He was taken to Children's Hospital for treatment.

At last report, the teen was listed in stable condition.
