Ex-Boyfriend Sought After Discovery Of Remains In Somerset Co.

MEYERSDALE (KDKA) -- State Police at the Somerset Station say they are still looking for the suspect in a homicide who they consider dangerous.

Jonathan Beal, 21, of Meyersdale, is facing homicide and other charges in connection with the strangulation death of his former girlfriend, 19-year-old Justine Jackson.

She vanished about two months ago.

Remains found in a wooded area of Larimer Township on Monday were positively identified as Jackson's.

A man who once dated Jackson, Kory Harmon, said Tuesday night, "I don't see why someone would do something like that to her. She was quiet and kept to herself. She was one of the nicest girls I met."

Court papers state that Jackson and Beal had a romantic relationship.

She told family members she thought she was pregnant with Beal's baby before she disappeared.

Beal told police he terminated their relationship because of what he said was Jackson's alleged drug use.
