Shoplifters Nab Pricey Designer Bags

ROSS TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) – Police are looking for some designer handbags that were stolen from Ross Park Mall Thursday night.

Police say five people shoplifted an unknown number of handbags from the mall's Louis Vuitton store. They believe all five individuals were working together.

Initial reports said as many as 25 bags were possibly stolen.

The designer handbags are also pricey, sometimes costing upwards of $3,000.

"Any time that an incident like this occurs our first concern is for the safety of our customers and mall employees," Mall officials said in a statement. "We at Ross Park Mall are committed to providing a safe, quality shopping environment for our shoppers and retail tenants."

The five men and women appear to be in their 20s and 30s and are all African American.

Police are reviewing surveillance footage and continuing to investigate.
