Adam Proteau On The NHL Lockout

PITTSBURGH (KDKA 93-7 The Fan) -- Bob Pompeani visits with Adam Proteau of The Hockey News to discuss the NHL lockout.

Proteau says that the NHL has used stall tactics and have refused to negotiate with Donald Fehr.

In 2004-05 Proteau supported the owners, but the shoe is on the other foot in this lockout.

He says that the past week has shown that there is still time on the NHL's internal clock.  He also adds that he thinks that owners won't let go until the last minute, but Proteau is still optimistic that a season can be salvaged despite the rhetoric.

Proteau says that the frustration on Thursday from the NHL shows that Donald Fehr is doing his job for the players and that's in contrast to the Bob Goodenow era.

Adam also addresses the possibility of Sidney Crosby playing overseas.
