In 2004-05 Proteau supported the owners, but the shoe is on the other foot in this lockout.

He says that the past week has shown that there is still time on the NHL’s internal clock.  He also adds that he thinks that owners won’t let go until the last minute, but Proteau is still optimistic that a season can be salvaged despite the rhetoric.
