Clark Sees Strides Made By Makeshift Secondary
ARLINGTON, Texas (93-7 THE FAN) -- A secondary that, once again, appeared to sorely miss Ike Taylor allowed the Cowboys to amass 341 yards and two touchdowns in the air, but safety Ryan Clark believes the backups are making progress.
"I felt like, in the second half, they played much better once Coach LeBeau let them go," Clark said after the 27-24 overtime loss. "I think [LeBeau] came out just trying to feel it out, and let those guys get grounded. Once those guys did, we played football. They had to stand up for us and make plays to keep us in the game, and I think they did."
Clark explained what he thinks went wrong, and what the Steelers have to do in preparation for a win-or-go-home game against the Bengals at Heinz Field next Sunday at 1:00:
