Clinical Psychologist Discusses Mental Illness

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - The second largest school shooting in United States history left 20 children and six women dead in Newtown, Conn. on Friday.

The gunman first shot his mother at their home before heading to the Sandy Hook Elementary School. He turned the gun on himself as police were responding to the scene.

UPMC Shadyside Clinical Psychologist Dr. Paul Friday joined Mike Pintek on Monday to talk about mental illness.

Dr. Friday asks the question after noticing someone with a possible mental illness - How can we get them the help they need and possibly save someone from a meltdown and violent spree such the one in Newtown, Conn.
