Former Steeler Great Andy Russell Reflects On Immaculate Reception
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Former Steeler LB Andy Russell joins Ron Cook on Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan to discuss the Immaculate Recpetion.
Andy started his Steeler career in 1963, and he remembers how much his teams struggled before Chuck Noll and "Mean" Joe Greene came on board.
Then came the Immaculate Reception in 1972.
Andy tells how that play changed the entire course of a franchise, where he was as everything unfolded, and the impact that one play still has nearly exactly 40 years later.
