PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police have arrested a West Brownsville man accused of stealing a rifle and threatening to kill himself.
Police say 30-year-old John Kerik stole a 234 Rossi/Taurus Rifle and an interchangeable barrel from the Newell home of Mark Kerik Dec. 17.READ MORE: 'Unity In The Community' Event Held In Greensburg
Kerik was later found in West Brownsville where he threatened to kill himself during a standoff with police.
Kerik eventually surrendered and was taken to Mon Valley Hospital until he was released Dec. 20 and arrested by police.READ MORE: Community Liver Alliance Hosts 'Walk The Talk For Liver Health' 5K At Kennywood Park
He is being held at the Fayette County Prison on $2,500 bond.
