PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Low income families in the Pittsburgh area will have a new option for food assistance.

The Super Kmart in Moon Township is the first one in the country to accept Women, Infants and Children vouchers.

The store is one of more than 100 grocery stores across the country that participate in with WIC program.

WIC offers food assistance and nutrition counseling to low-income families.

The Super Kmart in Moon Township is located at 2000 Scott Boulevard.
