PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A teenager was taken to the hospital after falling off a ski lift at the Hidden Valley Resort Saturday.

The 15-year-old fell 25 feet from the lift around 7 p.m.

Officials tell the Associated Press that the snowboarder is from Sleepy Hollow, N.Y. and was alone on the lift.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported that the ski patrol director said the teen fell after trying to adjust his boot and hadn’t put down the safety bar.

No word on the snowboarder’s condition.
