Fantasy Friday: Year In Review

The season is over and the champions have been crowned, so let's look back at the biggest bargains and busts of the 2012 Fantasy Football season.

The NFL has their All-Pro category for the best players at their position.  Here is the 1st and 2nd Team for All-Fantasy this season.

1st Team All-Fantasy
QB- Drew Brees, NO - When you lead the league in passing yards (5,177) and TD's (43), you take the 19 interceptions when the other numbers are that good.
RB- Adrian Peterson, MIN -
AP ran for 464 more yards than anyone else in the league.
RB- Arian Foster, HOU -
Led all RB's in scores, with a league best 15 on the ground and added 2 more through the air for 17 touchdowns on the year.
WR- Brandon Marshall, CHI -
Over 1,500 yards receiving and 11 TD grabs.
WR-
Dez Bryant, DAL - Came on strong at the end season and in the playoffs, finished with 12 touchdown catches.
WR- A.J. Green, CIN -
1,350 yards and 11 scores for the 2nd year man.
TE- Rob Gronkowski, NE -
Missed 5 games and was still the top tight end in most leagues.
K- Blair Walsh, MIN -
Led the NFL with 35 FG's on the season.
DEF- Chicago Bears -
Led the league with 44 takeaways and scored 10 times to go with it.

2nd Team All-Fantasy
QB- Aaron Rodgers, GB -
2nd in the league in TD's (39).
RB- Doug Martin, TB -
Over 1,900 total yards and 12 scores.
RB- Alfred Morris, WAS -
2nd in the league in yards and 13 TD's.
WR- Calvin Johnson, DET -
Set an NFL record for yards in a season and fell just short of the 2,000 mark.
WR- Demaryius Thomas, DEN -
4th in the league in yards with 10 scores to go with it.
WR- James Jones, GB -
Led the NFL in receiving touchdowns with 14.
TE- Jimmy Graham, NO -
Still Drew Brees' favorite red-zone target.
K- Stephen Gostkowski, NE -
Lots of extra points from the Patriots kicker.
DEF- Seattle Seahawks -
Led the league in points allowed.

Best Bargains:
Adrian Peterson, RB -
Coming off of a severe knee injury AP was available in most leagues  into the 3rd or 4th round.  He ended the year as the indisputable top back in the league.
Peyton Manning, QB - Missed the entire 2011 season with a neck injury so bad that even NFL scouts how doubts on whether he would EVER be able to play the game again.  He was Top 5 QB in most leagues this season.
Alfred Morris, RB - He was maybe the best bargain in the NFL this year, let alone fantasy leagues.  Morris went undrafted in most fantasy leagues this season.

Biggest Busts:
Larry Fitzgerald, WR -
This is nothing you can blame Fitzgerald for, the Cardinals went through 4 different quarterbacks this year and as a team threw only 11 touchdowns to 21 interceptions.
Darren McFadden, RB - A top 5 RB in most leagues going into the season finished 32nd in scoring in most commonly scored leagues.  He was held under 1,000 of total offense this season.
