Brides Against Breast Cancer Tour Making Local Stop

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Here's some exciting news for brides-to-be on a budget: they can score designer wedding gowns for up to 85 percent off.

Hundreds of wedding dresses will be on display this weekend, when the "Brides Against Breast Cancer" nationwide tour makes a stop in Aliquippa.

"We take 1,000-plus gowns on the road," tour manager Michelle Brault said. "We will be doing one hundred cities this year and 71 cents on every dollar goes directly to people impacted by cancer."

Brault calls the event a win-win, money goes to those in need and brides can find the perfect dress deeply discounted.

The designer gowns, donated by shops and past brides, are reduced in price anywhere from 25 percent to 85 percent.
"Our price range is from $99 to over $3,500," Brault said. "We have couture, brand new gowns donated by boutiques across the country and gently worn gowns in every style imaginable."

The dresses will arrive at The Fez in Aliquippa.

They will be on display Saturday during a sneak-peak VIP event from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $30. The event is free on Sunday from noon until 4 p.m.
