Rorabaugh Breaks Down First 2 Days Of Pens Camp

PITTSBURGH (93.7 THE FAN)--Seth Rorabaugh writes the "Empty Netters" blog for the Post-Gazette.

He has been at Penguins training camp for the first two days.

On Tuesday, he joined the Fan Morning Show to talk about the team.

The team worked with James Neal as a defensive "rover" on the power play on Monday, with Kris Letang on the other point.

Rorabaugh is not surprised by this, but thought the team might try to go with a more responsible approach to avoid giving up short-handed goals.

The player that Rorabaugh thinks has the most pressure on him to perform is Letang. In a contract year, he has to step up and establish himself as the no.1 defense man.

Eric Tangradi is working on a line with Evgeni Malkin and James Neal. Rorabaugh tells us that Tangradi's approach is different this year. He is playing a more physical role that has lent itself well to the highly skilled line. And, by all accounts from the coaching staff, he has acquainted himself to the line very well.
