2 Injured In Downtown Knife Fight

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Two people were injured in a knife fight in Downtown Pittsburgh early Tuesday morning.

According to police, the incident happened near the Smithfield Street Parking Garage around 3 a.m.

The incident began with one man offering another man a ride home for $20 after leaving the Liberty Avenue Saloon.

The passenger only had a $100 bill, which the driver took into a nearby building in order "to get change."

When he didn't come out, the passenger went looking for him with a knife. Eventually, he found the driver and the two got into a knife fight.

One man was stabbed in the arm, while the other suffered lacerations to the face.

Charges have not been filed at this time and names of the men involved have not been released.

The $100 was later found in the possession of a friend of the driver.
