Allegheny Still County With Most Flu Cases In PA

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pennsylvania Department of Health reports increased widespread flu activity in the state.

The department just released the latest flu numbers across the state and says that all regions have experienced an increase of flu cases.

And as of last week, Allegheny County still has the highest number of people affected by the flu in the state, with a total of 2,316 reported cases.

So far there have been eight flu-related deaths in the county as well.

Westmoreland County follows in second place with 966 reported cases and five deaths.

The DOH says that just less than 28,000 flu cases have been reported so far this season.
