Police Investigating Indiana Co. Toddler's Death

WHITE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A toddler died Saturday after he accidentally drowned in a bathtub in Indiana County.

After an autopsy Sunday, the coroner said 13-month-old Ryden Wesley Allen of White Township died while in the bathtub with his 2 and 3-year-old siblings.

Wesley's death was consistent with fresh water drowning, nor did he show any signs of trauma or physical abuse, according to the coroner.

The boy's mother told police she left the children unattended for just a few minutes while they were in the bathtub.

When she returned, the boy was found face down in the water.

The mother then performed CPR on the boy until an ambulance arrived. He was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 8:32 p.m.

Police are still investigating the circumstances leading to the boy's death.
