PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) – What did we really want to see during the Super Bowl? It wasn’t the plays, the MVP, or the halftime show- it was the commercials!

Whether they were funny, endearing, or just informative, the Super Bowl is the forum we use every year for the best and brightest- and sometimes worst- commercials on TV. Which one was your favorite?

KDKA-AM’s Larry and John talk to Brunner Advertising Executive Creative Director Jay Geisen about what commercials he thought were effective and which missed the mark.

“It’s not just about doing something goofy and wacky to be goofy and wacky. You want to engage a group of people and hopefully make a good impression for your brand,” Geisen said.

Geisen also thinks that the majority spots weren’t that great this year.

“Overall, I was a little disappointed in the quality from top to bottom,” Geisen said.
