South Side Triple Stabbing Under Investigation

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Two people are now in jail following a triple stabbing on Pittsburgh's South Side.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. in the 2300-block of East Carson Street, in front of the Green Front Inn.

The stabbing is said to have stemmed from a fight involving five women.

Three people were hurt in the fight and police say one woman used a stun gun and a second woman used a knife.

One of the victims was reportedly stabbed in the head, the other in the neck and the third was not seriously hurt.

Two of the victims were taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital and are listed in fair condition.

Police also hope to use video from a nearby city surveillance camera in their investigation.

One black woman and one white woman are in police custody and charged with assault.

No word yet on what prompted the fight.
