Girlfriend Accused Of Running Over Boyfriend, Then Helping Him

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) - Police say a woman who had an "on-again, off-again" relationship took that same approach when she allegedly ran over the man with her vehicle at a busy intersection - then went to his aid.

Police spokeswoman Diane Richard did not immediately identify the alleged victim, who fathered three children with the suspect, 39-year-old Demona Anderson.

Online court records don't list an attorney for Anderson who is charged with aggravated assault and domestic violence for running over the man with the vehicle just before midnight Thursday. Richard says witnesses tell police Anderson then tried to help the man who was in critical condition Friday.

Richard characterized the couple's relationship as "on-again, off-again" and says investigators believe Anderson ran over the man after they began arguing at a nearby gas station.
