Crews Offer Behind The Scenes Look At Bon Jovi Tour

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The CONSOL Energy Center was sold out Thursday night for Bon Jovi's "Because We Can" Tour.

And because of their commitment to the community, the band had some special guests at the arena earlier in the day to show them the ins and outs of a major tour.

As soon as the hockey game ended Wednesday night, a swarm of workers covered the ice.

Then, just after midnight, they started unloading the 18 truckloads of staging and equipment that are the "Because We Can" Tour.

The band played in Ottawa last night before making the trek to Pittsburgh.

Michael Savas, the management coordinator for Bon Jovi, took KDKA onstage to show off the never-been-used before technology of 3D video projection backdrop for the show that moves up and down

"With that we also have 90 high speed moving lights that are hung above your head, so as the screens move up and down, the lighting also moves up and down while the band is playing in sync with the music," said Savas.

Bu that point, just before 5 p.m., the stage was set for each of the band members - including Jon Bon Jovi's good luck mic stand.

Last night's set list was still on the stage to be replaced with about eight changes; and beneath the stage, Richie Sambora's guitar world.
