Police Seek Suspect In Saltlick Twp. Armed Bank Robbery

SALTLICK TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Authorities are searching for a suspect following an armed robbery at a bank Thursday morning in Fayette County.

The robbery happened just after 10 a.m. at the First National Bank on Indian Head Road in Saltlick Township.

According to state police, the suspect demanded money and indicated to the tellers that he had a bomb. He got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Authorities describe the suspect as a white male who was wearing a gray hoodie and mask. Police say he was also carrying a black, smaller-model handgun.

He got away in a mid- to late-1990's model, white, four-door Chevrolet Blazer. It was last spotted on Route 711 just south of Normalville, state police said.

State police and the FBI are investigating the robbery.
