Fayette Co. Toddler Shoots Self In Face
LUZERNE TOWNSHIP (KDKA)- A 2-year-old boy is at Children's Hospital after being shot in Fayette County.
It happened late Thursday night at a home in the 500-block of Second Street in the Village of Isabella.
The 2-year-old boy, Owen Harris, was flown to Children's Hospital from the scene.
State police in Belle Vernon are investigating the shooting and say the boy wandered out of his room, found the gun in a purse and managed to shoot himself in the face.
Sources say there was some type of gathering or party at the home when the shooting happened.
Harris underwent emergency surgery at the hospital and is said to be in critical, but stable condition.
Despite early indications are that the shooting was accidental. Police say no charges are expected.
